Apidexin - Review & Facts

Saturday, October 18th, 2008

Apidexin needs a mention here because of its relatively better reputation among both the consumers and practitioners. A quick look at the ingredients list which the manufacturers are very candid in disclosing - unlike many other diet pills & weight loss supplements  reveal these—

  • Apidexin uses a couple of ingredients which are uncommon in the diet pill world. This shows that they might be going an extra mile for the weight loss community.
  • The other ingredients are clinically tested & some are patented or waiting to be patented
  • One of the prominent ingredients in Apidexin is a derivation from Japanese Wakame seaweed. What makes this ingredient unique compared to other fat-burning ingredients is that it is thermogenic (it boosts metabolism) without affecting the central nervous system.
  • Apidexin  does not increase heart rate, a typical, unwelcome side effect of weight-loss drugs.
  • Another ingredient, Razberi-K, is derived from raspberries
  • ThermoDiamine is a fruit based fat burner
  • It also contains BioPerine, which helps the body absorb nutrients

I am only listing some unique ingredients which might make you investigate Apidexin further. If you have any other related information, please send your comments.

Cheers & wait for my next review!

Diet connection with blood types!!!

Tuesday, October 14th, 2008

Here am talking about the diet habit according to the blood types. Yes, its true and also amazing to know that even blood type matters in one’s diet.

The lectins in our food reacts differently with the ABO blood type to a lesser extent with an individual’s secretor status.

The unique dietary recomedation according to the blood types are:

Blood group O : diet recommends that this blood group eat a higher protein diet.

Blood group A :   diet recommends that this blood group eat vegetable free from red meet, a more vegetarian intake.

Blood group B: blood type diet claims that people of blood type B are the only ones who can thrive on dairy products

Blood group AB : in terms of dietary needs this blood type needs to be an intermediate between A and B blood type.

Disorders of eating!

Saturday, October 11th, 2008

Weight gain is an epidemic that is sweeping nations with a very high standard of living where everything is automated. Obesity & eating disorder are psychologically linked.

So, it is imperative that any diet related issues should be immediately talked over with a doctor.

Eating disorders are serious behavior problems. They include

  • Anorexia nervosa: In which you become too thin, but you don’t eat enough because you think you are fa. Some common symptoms are- picking out a few foods and eating them in small amounts, weighing their food, and counting the calories of everything they eat. Also, they may exercise excessively.
  • Bulimia nervosa: involving periods of overeating followed by purging, sometimes through self-induced vomiting or using laxatives. The common symptom is - eat an excessive amount of food in a single episode and almost immediately make themselves vomit or use laxatives or diuretics (water pills) to get rid of the food in their bodies.
  • Binge-eating: which is out-of-control eating. Common symptoms - people suffering from Binge-eating disorder often eat alone and very quickly, regardless of whether they feel hungry or full. They often feel shame or guilt over their actions.

Some common experimental facts about the eating disorder..

  • Women are more likely than men to have eating disorders.

  • Unlike anorexia and bulimia, binge-eating disorder occurs almost as often in men as in women.
  • They usually start in the teenage years and often occur along with depression, anxiety disorders and substance abuse.

  • Treatment involves monitoring, mental health therapy, nutritional counseling and sometimes medicines.

  • Eating disorders can cause heart and kidney problems and even death.

Parents should be very cautious about the quantity, frequency & post-eating behavior of their teens.

Teenage weight loss - The best bets!

Thursday, October 9th, 2008

These are the most uncertain years of our lives - and everybody goes through it. And, if your kid is overweight, then it is no more a talk & tell problem.

It needs serious psychological approach to convey the right message to your teen. It is your job to turn into a counselor. Here are some time tested rules….

  1. Be compassionate : have a very open hearted chat with your ward on a continuous basis. This will instill a lot of confidence in him or her.
  2. Convey the reality: Challenge any unrealistic goals or images or any quick fixes to weight loss.
  3. Activate the activity: Involve the household in outdoor activities so that the kid comes into it naturally.
  4. Breakfasting & Snacking: A healthy breakfast is essential. Indisciplined snacking should be discouraged.
  5. Count the calories: Even in liquids, count the calorie intake.
  6. Half is always full: A half plate is always better than a full plate. The other half is the trouble maker - so avoid it.
  7. Relax & Be Positive: That’s easier said than done. The first 6 steps will help you in achieving this.

Happy & healthy living.

  3. SUBSTITUTE SUGARY DRINKS, POP, AND CAFFEINE WITH PURE WATER - THIS WILL WORK WONDERS
  4. MAKE YOUR OWN FOOD. DON’T RELY ON FAST FOOD VENDORS. THEY DON’T CARE FOR YOUR LOVE HANDLES
  5. EAT SLOWLY WHILE ENJOYING EVERY GULP
  6. STARVING IS NEVER THE SOLUTION. RUNNING AWAY FROM NATURE WILL NOT HELP.
  7. BREATHING EXERCISES ARE A GREAT HELP. YOU CAN DO IT ANYWHERE.
