October 13 is a holiday.

Today is a great day as Americans celebrate the anniversary of Christopher Columbus’s arrival in the Americas, which occurred on October 12, 1492. To celebrate the same, October 13, 2008 has been declared as a holiday.

A holiday means to get up late, clean the household, a heavy lunch, call pals & party hard during the night. Thats how many of us celebrate our holidays, right? I feel this is not a very sensible way to consume your leisure time. I agree that everyone wants a break from the heavy amount of work that we put in during the weekdays. It sucks our energies and hence we want to recharge ourselves during the holidays. But is it right to spend every holiday in the same way? I mean, have we ever thought of how we can stay healthy by making use of the weekends/holidays. I know many would say NO.

Do you know - One in three or 58 million American adults aged 20 through 74 are overweight. This is because of improper eating habits and lack of exercise. Also, as we get busy with our hectic lifestyle, we feel the need for some quick weight loss programs. One such way of losing weight instantly is by consuming weight loss pills, that do not require any heavy workouts or killing your crave for chocolates!

So what are your plans for today?
